You must live within a 40mile radius of the Kansas City Post office to apply.

You are cordially invited to submit an application to request participation in the 29th Annual Art Westport. Art Westport will again be held in Historic Westport - the perfect backdrop for the “Kansas City” Artists Fair. Westport will be celebrating its 175th Anniversary in 2008. With the changes that have been made to the Event and with the addition of additional advertising, we are looking forward to exceptionally large crowds with, visitors from across the mid-west for this year.

Art Westport is a three - day event and will run from Friday, September 5 through Sunday, September 7, 2008. Show hours are from 5pm until 9 pm Friday, Saturday 10 am until 9 pm and Sunday 11 am until 5 pm.

Approximately 150 artists will be invited to participate in Art Westport 2008.

Applications will be accepted only through ZAPPlication.

Application Deadline: 6/15/08 Midnight CST
Artists are encouraged to apply early, NO late applications will be accepted.

REQUIREMENTS:
Images: 5 (a booth shot is not required)
Application Fee : $25.00 (Non-refundable)
Tent Space : 10’x 10’ -$300
Two 6' x 8' screens (approx. size) provided-$150

ARTIST CALENDAR
March 2008 - June 15, 2008: Regular application period.
June 15 at midnight : Application Deadline.
July 2008: Selection notification sent to artists via e-mail.
August 1, 2008 : Refund request deadline.
September 5: Exhibitor check-in and set-up from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. (Friday)
September 6 : Art Westport artist hours, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. (Saturday)
September 7 : Art Westport artist hours, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Sunday)

JURY DETAILS:
Deadline for entries is June 15, 2008.

Art Westport is a Juried Arts Show which is known for its fine quality and original artwork. A strict jury process will be in place again this year. The jury is comprised of a group of artists, selected for their diverse knowledge of the arts and consists of artists and educators.

There is a $25 non-refundable application fee which MUST accompany each application. A separate application and fee is required for each category (one per category, three category limit, substantially different work required for each category). You must create a separate and distinct ZAPP profile in order to submit to the show in multiple categories. Payments are collected through ZAPP.

EXHIBITOR SPACES AND FEES
PLEASE SELECT THE BOOTH SIZE WHICH WILL BEST MEET YOUR NEEDS. Booths and all materials required to exhibit and sell your art MUST be provided and set up by the Artist exhibitor. Booths are required to be white canopied. Exhibitor spaces will be assigned by the Art Westport Committee and are final. Screens are provided for the Quad set-ups ONLY. Electricity is available and we request it to be limited to 500 watts of usage per booth.

ORIGINAL ART WORKS

All art must be original, designed and produced by, or under the direct supervision of the artist. No commercial or manufactured work accepted. The artist, upon submission of images guarantees the accuracy of the description of the artwork presented and the authenticity of the artwork as original and created by his/her own hands. If works are produced in editions, the artist MUST disclose the edition numbers. Work in print must be signed, numbered, limited editions and MAY make up NO MORE THAN 25% of the total work hanging to be sold. Artists may show only work in categories and body of work approved by the jury. The selection committee reserves the right to have removed from display any artwork or items not in keeping with the event standards and/or substantially different from those images submitted to the jury. Artists must be present during the entire event and must personally staff their booth space. No Agents, dealers or representatives may attend the event in place of the artist.

Artist Awards
First, Second, and Third place awards will be given.
Remember, the quality of the images submitted does count! Please submit images which show your work clearly and to its best advantage.
NOTE: Art Westport is a FAMILY- Oriented Event. Artwork intended for mature audiences will not be considered for this event. On-site representatives will be enforcing this policy throughout the festival.

HOSPITALITY SERVICES
This year Art Westport will be providing several services to artist exhibitors. These will include, but are not limited to the following:
1. There will be an artist hospitality area with complimentary beverages, snacks.
2. An event program will be published which will include a site map, a listing of
participating artists with booth numbers.
3. Artist packet with 2 annual pin.
4. Free COLD bottled water throughout the event.

Art Westport will process slides digitally on your behalf. This process is available for a $30 service charge in addition to the $25 jury fee. For assistance in getting your artwork imaged and downloaded, contact Phil Hughlett: phil@hughlettstudio.com.
